The rotating door of famous rehabbers is back in full swing: Britney may be out, but another celeb is going in.

Former Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe entered an undisclosed rehab facility Monday in order to "deal with alcohol issues."

"He realized he had a problem and was anxious to deal with it immediately," the actor's rep told the New York Post, adding that he "hopes that the media will allow him the privacy to deal properly with his treatment."

News of the 28-year-old entering a facility comes in the wake of reports of increasingly hard partying in Los Angeles over the weekend.

According to E! Online's Ted Casablanca, Metcalfe hit up no fewer than four clubs in Los Angeles Saturday night, making stops at Area, Mood—at which he was joined by British Girls Aloud girl-bander girlfriend Nadine Coyle—Element and Xenii before calling it a night.

During the weekend, a slew of reports also surfaced that the actor's erratic, drunken behavior at L.A. hotel Mondrian on Friday night resulted in his getting banned from the property after yelling at the doorman of Skybar.

Due to the ubiquity of the reports, a hotel rep reluctantly addressed the rumor, saying that while Metcalfe had not been officially banned from the Hollywood hot spot, he was refused a hotel room Saturday night due to his untoward behavior.

Though maybe he was just having trouble shaking off his latest character.

While his only post-Housewives role has been that of the titular high school heartthrob in John Tucker Must Die, Metcalfe recently finished production on a thriller due this November, the now somewhat ironically named Loaded.

In the film, Metcalfe plays a rich club kid who gets caught up in a world of drugs, sex and violence.

Meanwhile, the name or location of Metcalfe's rehab facility was not released, though Los Angeles is the likeliest locale. The TV vet has shared a pad in the city with Coyle since November of last year.
