When Miranda Lambert wanted to get healthy, she came up with a plan. And as anyone that has seen the country singer on the red carpet the last six or so months can attest: it definitely worked. But her strategy isn't over. She also has great ideas on how to keep the weight off.

"The scale is something that can be your worst enemy when you're trying to lose weight or gain weight or whatever you're trying to do to get comfortable. I usually just judge by my clothes.  I would say don't get caught up on the scale because you can really get focused on that and it can make you in a bad mood really quickly," Lambert shared in the June issue of Women's Health.

Blake Shelton's wife goes on to say: "It's really easy to gain weight and it's really hard to lose weight, so just staying focused, and though the holidays not getting off track, you know, I had to really stay focused, she explains. "If I ate bad in the morning, I tried to do better at night, or vice versa. Just not blowing it all day long, everyday."

And when she does splurge it usually comes in a bright orange bag. "My guilty pleasure is, well, some people would say it could be music or whatever, but mine is definitely food, and it's mostly Cheetos."

When asked about a few highlights of her slimmer physique, the 30-year-old shared: "I guess, if I had to say the favorite part about my new body would probably be my arms. I always struggled with having big arms, so having smaller arms, more toned is definitely a plus."

Not that the star's only interest is health and fitness. When she's not on stage or in the studio, Miranda likes to go horseback riding. "When I'm home I love to, I just started taking English riding lessons, and so that kind of my new hobby, and doing something for myself. It's way different than anything in music. It sort of keeps me focused. And it lets me clear my mind and so something positive and physical and a hard workout and I really enjoy that."
