Benjamin "Coach" Wade is building a little team of his own.

The three-time Survivor contestant, whose sanctimonious ways on the CBS reality competition show earned him the marketable reputation of reality-TV "villain," has welcomed a daughter, his first child with wife Jessica.

"@JeffProbst@Survivor_Tweet what life for coach is all about. Lenna newton wade born at noon today! 7 lbs 1 oz.," the proud papa tweeted this afternoon along with a photo of himself holding their wee bundle of joy.

How times have changed for the erstwhile "dragon slayer," who first showed up on Survivor: Tocantins in 2009 before also being tapped for Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains (they said it, we didn't!) and Survivor: South Pacific, on which he finished second.

Even Wade admits that it was hard to see beyond his own needs until he met his future wife and her son from a previous relationship, Avvan.

"The old selfishness was still there," he exclusively told E! News following Lenna's arrival. "But when she introduced me to her baby boy Avvan, things began to change. A flicker...a cracking of self...an epiphany of destined nurturing. That which I thought I wanted was not in itself true. The lie I had told myself for years...that it was better to be alone....that lie began to unravel."

"When Avvan called me dad a year later...well then it was all over," Wade continued. "The nurturing coach from within...the slayer of dragons who wanted to protect his family and put them as a priority...the man that wanted to put all others above self...was born."

And so two births are actually being celebrated in the Wade family.

True to his "Coach" moniker, the 42-year-old was there for his wife every step of the way, and shared plenty of labor info via Twitter, starting with "Checked into the hospital! The baby is on the way. #happydaddy."

Seven hours later: "Ahhh the expectant father! Still waiting after a long night."

After the contractions kicked up a notch, Wade added: "My wife is such a champ!!! Dr. What is ur pain tolerance? Jessica:10 Dr: at what level will u need pain med? Jessica: never #love#respect."

Several hours after that, dad tweeted, "Our baby girl Lenna Newton Wade is 7 lbs and healthy!!!!!"

Congratulations to the whole family!
