On one hand, Lupita Nyong'o isn't the easiest name to pronounce. On the flip side, the woman has already won an Oscar and has consistently been the most-buzzed about star at every Hollywood event she attends.

So when you're a reporter in the entertainment industry, there's really no excuse to mispronounce the moniker of People's Most Beatiful Woman. However, many apparently didn't do their homework before going live on air.

Jimmy Kimmel capitalized on their bloopers in a video montage where he pieced together clips of various anchors butchering the 12 Years a Slave star's name and hilarity ensues as the reporters fail to correctly state the moniker of the Yale alum.

"Lupita is unquestionably beautiful but her name is not easy to pronounce, which made it a tough day for our nation's news anchors," the late night host explained.

Shout-out to the anchor who dropped the star's last name and simply opted to just call her "Lupita" (nice save).

"I wish people had asked John Travolta to announce Lupita Nyong'o's name," Kimmel quipped after the clip. "He did such a nice job at the Oscars."

Adele Dazeem, anyone?

Nyong'o was crowned People's Most Beautiful Woman on Wednesday. The news was revealed on NBC's Today. "It was exciting and just a major, major compliment," the 31-year-old Non-Stop star humbly gushed. "And especially, I was happy for all the girls who would see me on [it] and feel a little more seen.

In a pre-taped interview with Savannah Guthie, Nyong'o reiterated that the honor came as a surprise. "What an incredible journey to go from that feeling [of insecurity] to being on the cover of this magazine. I mean, you could have never told me that that would happen when I was 16 and insecure about my complexion," the Yale School of Drama graduate said. "I hope it means something to more than just me, to people like me who feel unbeautiful in whatever skin they're in."

With an attitude like that, we doubt the mispronunciation (or anything) could faze her.
