Is Gina Carano heading back into the cage?
Well, let's just say the MMA fighter-turned-action star hasn't exactly ruled it out.
"I've never retired. I never officially said that," the former Strikeforce champ told Fox Sports. "For some reason a part of me has always kept it open. I don't know, there's a certain part of me that thinks if circumstances were right, and I could keep doing what I'm trying to make my future into, that's an ideal world. If circumstances were right, you never know. I'm very open to it."
Carano admitted there have been some conversations, but that she couldn't really go into much detail about the discussions, only saying that "my first love is MMA."
It was five years ago that Carano stepped away from fighting to pursue an acting career.
Since then, the 31-year-old has appeared in such movies as Haywire and Fast & Furious 6.
Her newest flick, In the Blood, hit theaters on April 4.
Directed by John Stockwell, the film finds Carano playing a wife who hunts down the men she believes is responsible for the disappearance of her husband on their honeymoon in the Caribbean. Of course, she uncovers more than she bargains for in the form of a murky conspiracy.
In the Blood also features Stephen Lang, Luis Guzman, Treat Williams and Danny Trejo.
