Lindsey Vonn Talks Valentine's Day Plans for Her and "Teddy Bear" Tiger Woods

Memo to Lindsey Vonn: Valentine's Day is right around the corner.

"I've been so focused on my surgery, I'm only two and half weeks out so…" Vonn told E! News Friday night at ESPN's Super Bowl bash in New York City, explaining why she and boyfriend Tiger Wood's don't have plans for Feb. 14 yet.

"He's competing and I'm rehabbing, so Valentine's Day isn't number-one on our priority list—but I'm sure we'll do something fun," the champion skier assured us.

Vonn, 29, was forced to skip the Winter Olympics, kicking off this week in Sochi, Russia, after suffering a right-knee injury that required surgery. The operation was deemed successful, but she's out of competition for a while.

But while they don't have set plans, Vonn says that it's possible Woods will surprise her.

"He's a teddy bear," she said of her golf-star sweetheart.

Vonn, who hails from Colorado and is a Denver Broncos fan (ouch, indeed), kept soldiering on through the festive weekend in the meantime, despite her wounded knee.

E! News also caught up with her at the DirecTV Super Saturday Night party, where she got to see Jay Z and Beyoncé do a surprise Grammy encore and perform together, and Vonn told us that she was excited to be in New York—but she had a bit of trepidation about reporting for duty at Today, where she'll be serving as an Olympics correspondent.

"I've always loved working, doing interviews with the guys on the Today show, everyone's really easygoing and I always feel comfortable on the show," Vonn explained, "but I'm really not looking forward to waking up really early.

"I'm not a morning person, so if I seem like I'm a little sleepy, it's probably because I am!"

In addition to reporting daily from the U.S. for Today, she will also be contributing to NBC Sports' Olympics coverage. (E! Online is a member of the NBCUniversal family.)

Watching skiing is "going to be so hard," Vonn lamented to Matt Lauer last week. "It's already hard enough. You guys run commercials about Sochi every two minutes and it's killing me."

Sorry, Lindsey! E! will be broadcasting from Sochi starting Feb. 7!
