When it comes to casting Avengers: Age of Ultron, there is definitely some serious assembling going on.
Thomas Kretschmann, who plays Van Helsing on NBC's Dracula, has become the latest star to join Joss Whedon's highly anticipated sequel.
The Hollywood Reporter cites sources that say the 51-year-old actor will take on the role of baddie Baron Wolfgang von Strucker.
Kretschmann has previously been seen in such films as Peter Jackson's King Kong and Wanted opposite Angelina Jolie.
Last summer, it was announced that James Spader will be suiting up to play the flick's main villain, Ultron. And in November, Elizabeth Olsen confirmed that she had been cast as the Scarlet Witch. The role will reunite her with her costar from the upcoming Godzilla remake, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, whom The Wrap reported has been tapped to play Scarlet's twin brother, Quicksilver.
Avengers: Age of Ultron, which also stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner, is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
Production is slated to begin next month.
