The newlyweds were all smiles out and about in Georgia on Friday, Jan. 10, just one day after announcing on Twitter that they'd secretly wed. Both the bride, 20, and groom, 24, were wearing the wedding bands. Bobbi Kristina tweeted that the pair was "#soinlove," and Nick added Monday, Jan. 13, he was "Lovin life with my wife."
The pair first announced their engagement in October 2012, breaking the news in a promo for their short-lived reality show The Houstons: On Our Own. By November 2012, Nick tweeted that the duo were "not engaged or dating" but "just close like we always have been."
By July 2013, however, Whitney Houston's daughter took to Facebook to let the world know she and Nick were (once again) planning to say "I do."
"YES, we me nick are engaged," she wrote. She also said she was "tired of hearing people say you're your engaged to your brother'" and wondering if her late mother would approve of their relationship.
She pointed out that the pair are not "real brother and sister" and that Nick is not even her adoptive brother. "My mom never adopted him," she wrote. "In fact, mommy was the one who even said that she knew that we were going to start dating."
Well, it looks like mom knew best.
