It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a really cool guest star!

Superman Returns star Brandon Routh is set to make a super guest appearance on The Millers, E! News has exclusively learned.

Routh, who recently starred in the short-lived sitcom Partners opposite Michael Urie and Sophia Bush, will stop by Will Arnett's new hit sitcom as Officer Davis, a handsome police officer who is investigating a string of petty thefts in Nathan (Arnett) and his mother Carol's (Margo Martindale) neighborhood. (Um, can we move there, please?)

His episode is set to air in 2014.

Aside from his time donning the Superman cape before Henry Cavill and scoring laughs on Partners, Routh is known for his work on NBC's cult hit Chuck as Daniel Shaw and recently starred opposite Milo Ventimiglia and Chad Michael Murray in the second season of Crackle's Chosen.

The Millers, which also stars Beau Bridges and Jayma Mays, received a full-season pickup from CBS after just three episodes. The sitcom has been one of the fall's most successful new launches, with the most recent episode attracting 12 million viewers and a 2.9 rating in the adults 18-49 demo.

The Millers airs Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. on CBS.
