Adam Levine wasn't quite cover-boy material back in high school, but he was pretty darn cute. (Sorry, this is not an ugly duckling grows into beautiful, tattooed swan tale.)
Now, though, he is People's 2013 Sexiest Man Alive, engaged to model Behati Prinsloo, coaching The Voice and, yes, pretty much winning at life. He even met a couple of his Maroon 5 bandmates during his days at L.A.'s Brentwood High, and his teenage sweetheart Jane Herman (who would eventually become a Vogue editor) is actually the Jane from Songs About Jane, the band's 2002 debut album.
But, back to high school—Adam, now 34, did suffer from a just touch of acne. The pros of this? Well, it builds character, and in Adam's case, led to a lucrative ProActiv spokesman gig years down the line!
And while Adam today is the master of that hair the flicks up just the right amount—you know he's got the exact amount of product and technique down to an art—that hasn't always been the case. Like many of us, he rocked a center part, a bowl cut and another 'do that's hard to describe other than saying it looks very '90s teen.
Those days are long gone, though—and Adam has mastered and refined his edgy, rocker image. He's also quite charming, which might've helped him win over his Victoria's Secret Angel fiancée.
Speaking of which, how amazing does the future Mrs. Levine, 24, look shooting in St. Barts?
