UPDATE: Britney Spears' father and manager, Jamie Spears and Larry Rudolph, have released a statement to E! News: "Britney is never pressured into anything.  She reviews all creative and for her Work Bitch video she discussed toning down some parts in finding a balance of sexy and being a mom."

Britney Spears shows a lot of skin in her new "Work Bitch" music video—too much, in the pop star's opinion. The 31-year-old singer phoned in to The TJ Show on Thursday, Oct. 3, where she told radio hosts TJ and Loren that she actually had director Ben More edit the clip to make it less provocative.

"Oh my god, we showed way more skin and did way more stuff for the video then what is actually there. Like, I cut out half the video because I am a mother and because, you know, I have children, and it's just hard to play sexy mom while you're being a pop star as well," said Britney, mom to Sean Preston, 8, and Jayden James, 7. "I just have to be true to myself and feel it out when I do stuff."

If Britney had total creative control over the "Work Bitch" music video, it may not have included whip and bikinis. "A lot of sex goes into what I do," the Louisiana native explained. "But sometimes I would like to bring it back to the old days when there was one outfit through the whole video, and you're dancing the whole video, and there's like not that much sex stuff going on."

She added, "It's about the dance and it's about being old school. It's like keeping it real and just making it about the dance. I'd love to do a video like that."

Britney said it's fun to get into character, especially because she's a homebody at heart. "I'm such a cozy person—I love being in my house—but I feel like I'm going to go a little crazy if I stay in my house too much and I just hang out and do nothing. I kinda like to perform—well, not kinda. I really like to perform and I like to do shows," she said. "It's exciting and it's great to express yourself, so I think it's fun."
