If you're still trying to figure out the meaning behind the wild and crazy images in Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" music video, the 20-year-old singer insists you really shouldn't overthink it.

"Everyone is always like, 'What does the video mean?' There's conspiracy theories behind my video. And it's not quite as deep as some people try to make it seem. A lot of people think I'm in the Illuminati somehow through this video," Cyrus said during an interview on the BBC radio show The Official Chart. "It's not really that trippy to make you think this is some subliminal message or it's brainwashing you."

In fact, the pop star added that much of what we see in the video "is based on true events."

She noted, "L.A. is very different. People don't go to the clubs as much as they go to house parties. It's all about being up in the Hills or being in the Valley. So I really wanted people to see that."

But do these shindigs really include twerking with giant teddy bears?

"Yeah, that happens," Cyrus said.

Sounds like fun. As long as there's music, of course.
