Jennifer Lopez Steps Out Looking Like a Patriotic Ice Princess

We're confused on a number of levels about this look on Jennifer Lopez.

First off, who wears a long-sleeved, turtleneck gown in the middle of June? We happen to know and it was at least 65 degrees in New York meaning the "Live It Up" singer was probably sweating it up! Then there's the color...

Yes, deep blue looks lovely against her deep skin, but it feels like she's supporting the U.S. Navy a little early for Independence Day. And finally, there's that shiny, shiny lace. We're of the opinion that sequins should be sparkly and lace should be soft. The combo just makes Jennifer look like she was dipped in shellac.

Of course, we had all these thoughts before learning that the dress was from the house of the ever-edgy Tom Ford. Now it all makes sense.
