After the sexy soccer star announced his decision to retire from the sport, saying his season with Paris St.-Germain will be his last, the father of four's wife has expressed her support for her hubby of nearly 14 years.
"The children and I are so proud of David, it's been an incredible journey for us all as we have watched him play at clubs all over the world throughout the last 15 years," the fashionista said in a statement before noting David's many accomplishments.
"Myself and the children have cheered him from the stands, as he has held high trophies with his teams at Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, LA Galaxy and Paris Saint-Germain," the brunette beauty said. "This was not an easy decision to make, and to me and the children he will always be an amazing sportsman and a devoted husband and father."
She concludes by gushing over her inspirational hubby and says she looks forward to her family's next adventure.
"He is, and will always remain, a true ambassador for sport and is not just an inspiration to myself and our children but for millions of people worldwide," she stated. "We are all excited about the next chapter in our lives and the adventures we will explore as a family."

The fashion designing diva also took to Twitter to thank fans for their support and share a sweet photo where she's affectingly embracing her other half (and doing it with a smile!).
"Thank you for all your lovely messages, we are so proud of you David x vb," she posted on her microblogging page.
Talk about a wonderful wife. No wonder Becks wants to spend a bit more time at home.
