Fox Sports West reporter Dan Moriarty is apparently one of those kick-'em-while-they're-down kind of guys. Or maybe he just never watched Go On (he should have, it was funny).

While catching up with Matthew Perry at an L.A. Kings hockey game, Moriarty exclaimed, "Big news today and congratulations is in order!"

The big news was that Perry's NBC series Go On had been canceled.

Perry, being as good natured and quick on his feet as, say, Chandler Bing, responded, "Oh, thank you. You're talking about my show getting canceled? It was sort of a sad day because of the people and I'm going to miss them."

He continued, with a laugh, "But, you know, this show that I was doing was really getting in the way of some Kings games, so I'm OK."

The entire time, Moriarty kept awkwardly smiling. And then congratulated Perry again.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
