Matt Lauer Breaks 17-Year No-Dance Policy, Busts a Move With PSY

TV show host showed off his best dance moves with international pop sensation

Matt Lauer is going Gangnam!

The Today show host admitted to Jay Leno on Thursday's Tonight Show that he once took a bit of great advice from colleague Bryant Gumbel.

"I made a vow years ago," he told Leno. "Bryant Gumbel told me, 'Don't sing and don't dance on the show."

But Lauer hinted that rules are meant to be broken upon hearing the news that PSY was a guest of the Today show Friday.

"I've made it 17 years without dancing…tomorrow I might break the record," he admitted.

And boy did he.

Lauer shocked viewers and his cohosts as he danced alongside the Korean pop star.
