As a wise man once said, "It's not personal, Sonny. It's strictly business." And apparently, the "business" rumors are true regarding NBC's Las Vegas.

Sources close to the show tell us the cast and crew was informed Friday that the series is most definitely canceled and won't be returning this season, next season or...ever. Sorry, guys.

Insiders say NBC head honcho Ben Silverman was underwhelmed by Vegas' average of 7 million viewers a week and decided to cut ties with the series in order to make way for Peacock-net newcomers in the coming year.

In particular, I extend my condolences to my friend Todd H., who had this to say upon hearing the news that the show was a goner: "OH THAT &#@!* BLOWS! WHAT'S A SEX-ADDICTED MALE SUPPOSED TO WATCH IN HIGH DEFINITION NOW?"

(Note to development NBC execs: You're gonna want to keep an eye out for shows that could appeal to the critical "sex-addicted male with high-definition television" demographic.)

We're keeping our ear to the ground for news about a possible wrapup of some kind. But in the meantime, post your thoughts about the end of Las Vegas in the Comments below...
