Talk about keeping a secret.

Halle Berry reportedly married singer Eric Benét on the sly two weeks ago in Los Angeles.

The X-Men star revealed the nuptials Tuesday, telling Entertainment Tonight she and the R&B crooner tied the knot in a top-secret ceremony at an undisclosed location.

The actress, who became engaged to Benét in 1999, described the Rista Rose gown she wore as "a simple, not very weddingish dress."

The groom wore a white silk suit. The couple exchanged "eternity bands" along with their "I Do's."

This makes hubby number two for Berry (who, depending on which bio you read, is either 34 or 32). She was previously married to New York Yankee outfielder David Justice, whom she says abused her during their four-year marriage.

Berry told reporters that she was so depressed after ending her marriage to Justice in 1997, she tried to commit suicide.

But with the exception of the odd traffic mishap (last year she was ordered to pay $14,000 in fines and perform 200 hours of community service after pleading no contest to a hit-and-run charge), things have gotten much better for Berry. X-Men was one of the biggest flicks of Y2K. She also won an Emmy and Golden Globe last year for her starring turn in the HBO movie Introducing Dorothy Dandridge. More importantly, she met Benét, 33, at the telepic's premiere.

Known for his retro-soul music, Benét is a sensitive guy who says that when he was creating his latest album he reread pages of his diary and "just opened myself up to whatever came out of my heart."

This is his first marriage, although he has a nine-year-old daughter, India, from a previous relationship. (According to ET, India was unable to attend the ceremony.)

Berry spilled the beans on her hush-hush wedding during an event for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, in which she helped a teenage cancer victim named Kimberly English fulfill her dream of becoming a model. English, 16, later helped Berry launch the actress' official Website, Hallewood.com.
