Who ya gonna call? Well, how about these guys?

The trailer for R.I.P.D. is out, and by the looks of all the bad souls running around wreaking havoc among the living, Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges have their work cut out for them if they're gonna clean up the afterlife.

A kind of mashup of Men in Black and Ghostbusters, the film puts a humorous, deathly twist on the buddy-cop genre, with Reynolds and Bridges playing deceased cops who work for the R.I.P.D., aka the "Rest in Peace Department." It's their job to hunt down some ghoulish-looking souls called "Deados" who've managed to escape judgment.

At the same time, Ryan's character, Nick Walker, is looking for the man who murdered him. Good thing he's got Bridges' Roy Pulsipher on his side, a Wild West lawman harkening back to the Oscar winner's role as Rooster Cogburn in True Grit.

As the souls get out of control, chaos and gunfights ensue, and the partners bag the bad guys while defending the world "one soul at a time," as the action-comedy's tagline puts it.

R.I.P.D., costarring Kevin Bacon and Mary-Louise Parker, hits theaters July 19.
