Don't mess with Texas—even if you're Rihanna!

The 25-year-old singer upset fans in Houston and Dallas this Monday and Tuesday when she canceled her concerts due to illness. But it looks like Chris Brown's love wants those affected to realize just why she had no choice but to pull the plug.

One Instagram user posted a screengrab of a comment Rihanna left on his picture. (Meta, right?) The comment is from badgalriri (Ri's official Instagram handle, which is different from just @rihanna on Twitter) trying to appease some less-than-thrilled members of the Rihanna Navy.

"I was sick since San Diego!" she wrote. "I kept working cus I thought 2 days off after the Vegas show would be enough time to recover and I f--ked up, those were 2 days off from hell and today is no different!"

Twitter

"I'm sad and disappointed about it!!" she continued. "I had all kinds of plans for Houston!!"

Like a true blue fan, the individual re-Instagrammed the singer's explanation, adding, ""Damn rih :( well your health is more important than anything and if your 'fans' don't realize that than they aren't true fans. I could care less about this tour if your aren't feeling well. I'll pray for your strength. :)"

Aw. Rihanna did not respond to E! News' request for comment on the Instagram explanation.

Fortunately, though, Live Nation asked fans to hang on to their tickets so they can be honored at a later date. A happy, healthy Rihanna will be well worth the wait!
