Chris Brown and Drake Suing Each Other Over Club Brawl? Not So Fast...

Chris Brown and Drake are still feeling the legal fallout from their New York nightclub brawl last June—but they are not starting new fires.

Contrary to reports that the animosity-fueled artists are suing each other, they are actually just trying to pin liability for the melee on one another as part of a third party's lawsuit.

According to the New York Daily News, Brown and Drake's attorneys filed responses Thursday to a lawsuit filed by model Romain Julien, in which they detail why the other guy is responsible for injuries Julien said he suffered when things got out of hand at W.i.P. in the wee hours of June 14.

For his part, per documents obtained by the newspaper, Brown denies being intoxicated and had no knowledge of Drake allegedly sending a note regarding Rihanna, whom Drake was briefly linked to following her initial breakup with Brown—a slight that was rumored to be one of the driving factors in the fight between the artists' entourages.

Anything that happened to Julien was caused by "unidentified individuals who were unassociated with Brown and not by Brown or any individuals under his control," his filing reportedly states.

Team Drake, meanwhile, similarly maintains that any harm that befell Julien was the fault of Brown, Brown's associates and/or the nightclub.

W.i.P. owner Entertainment Enterprises—which has also been sued by Julien, as well as by two female clubgoers and NBA star Tony Parker—filed suit against Drake and Brown to the tune of $16 million back in August, laying all blame for whatever damage was done on them and their respective entourages.
