The Silver Linings Playbook Oscar nominee and his cast got serious when they stopped by Katie, but Ms. Couric also brought out a softer, sillier—we repeat: adorable—side when she asked him about being single.
We don't even care that Bradley didn't dish any dirt, because this reaction:
Was perfect.
For the record, Bradley explained the tabloid interest in his dating life, saying, "I vacillate between being fascinated by it and also being like, 'Ah, it's a real bummer!'"
Now for a double dose of adorableness, the single star revealed his Oscar date: his mom!
"I am taking Gloria!" he proudly announces. "Although a couple days ago she threatened not to go. Because there's scrutiny; it's rough. I said, 'Look, you can't let that bother us.' I mean, my father passed away two years ago, and the idea that I'm going to the Oscars nominated with Daniel Day-Lewis and Hugh Jackman and Denzel Washington and Joaquin Phoenix—let's enjoy every second of this!"
All together now: Aww! Well, Ms. Gloria, we cannot wait to see you on the carpet!
