It looks like the Backstreet Boys' A.J. McLean got himself into a wee bit of street trouble the other morning.

The Hollywood division of the LAPD tells E! News that the musician was pulled over at 1 a.m. on Tuesday. He was subsequently cited for no valid proof of insurance inside the vehicle.

As for why McLean was stopped in the first place, TMZ reports it was due to a problem with his license plates.

Fortunately it was nothing serious.

After all, McLean recently reunited with the other Backstreet Boys—Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough and Kevin Richardson—and the quintet is currently working on a new album that is scheduled to be released next spring.
