Happy Endings star Elisha Cuthbert will soon be happily walking down the aisle.
The actress is preparing to tie the knot with longtime boyfriend Dion Phaneuf after the NHL hockey player asked for her hand in marriage.
"I can confirm that Dion is in fact engaged to Elisha," Phaneuf's agent told E! News.
According to the Toronto Star, the couple broke the exciting news to about 35 friends and family members during a surprise engagement dinner at the New Glasgow Lobster Supper restaurant in Prince Edward Island, Canada, over the weekend.
Erin Forest, dining room supervisor at the restaurant, told E! News that Cuthbert and Phaneuf "had a reservation for Sunday evening for their family. They dine with us quite often for the summers. She must have been engaged over the weekend. It was the first opportunity for the family to find out that news. They kind of announced it to the family at the dinner here...They were all having a good time."
Phaneuf, 27, is currently captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
As for Cuthbert, in addition to Happy Endings, the 29-year-old is also known for playing Kim Bauer on the TV show 24 as well as her work in such films as Old School, The Girl Next Door and House of Wax.
The two, who both hail from Canada, began dating in 2008.
