Nicki Minaj's latest album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, has earned her not only critical acclaim, but is one of the biggest selling albums of 2012—and the year isn't even over.
But if we've learned anything from Opening Act, it's that everyone has to earn their street cred. And this Trinidad native knows what it means to work your way to the top—as one of Minaj's earliest jobs was as a waitress at a Red Lobster in the Bronx. Hard to imagine the "Starships" singer in anything other than sky-high platforms, but it's true!
Hopefully her opener, R&B group Gotham Citi, will be able to handle the pressures of sharing the stage with such a fierce performer. After all, Nicki may be pint-sized but her vocal chops could knock anyone down!
