The cause of Sage Stallone's tragic death remains unknown, but answers are on the way.

Los Angeles County Coroner's officials told E! News Monday that an autopsy on Sylvester Stallone's oldest son has been completed and results are pending. No results will be released until testing is complete, which is six to eight weeks, minimum. LAPD has requested a security hold on further details related to the death.

The 36-year-old filmmaker was found dead at his home in Los Angeles Friday by his housekeeper. Police officials told E! News there were no signs of forced entry and no apparent foul play or criminal activity appeared to be involved.

One coroner's office source told KNBC that prescription bottles were recovered in the investigation into Sage's passing, but they'd yet to determine whether they had a role in his death.

LAPD told E!  News that the case is still a coroner's case and it has not been turned over to Robbery Homicide detectives. The Robbery Homicide division is assisting in the case because of the celebrity status and will be kept in the loop during the investigation.

A source told E! News that Sage and his famous father "had a good relationship."

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Stallone family.
