Eva's Not Planning for Parenthood Just Yet

At her charity event for children, Longoria Parker says she's not expecting right now...and talks about her hopes for when she is!

Eva Longoria Parker was doing it for the kids Tuesday night—just not her own.

"Nope!" she quickly answered when asked if she was planning to be a parent herself anytime soon.

The Desperate Housewives star was on hand to host her Padres Contra el Cáncer benefit, which helps children with cancer. So what does she want most when she is expecting her own child?

"People always say 'I want a boy! I want a girl!' I just think, Oh my gosh, I just want a healthy child," she told reporters. "That's truly a gift. If you're a healthy adult, to complain about anything in life that's so minute, you really have to be grateful for everything that you have and do something with it."

Good health wasn't the only thing on Eva's mind last night.

The Obama supporter said she was looking forward to catching the presidential debates, which were happening as she walked the carpet.

"I was listening to it as I was getting dressed," she said, "and then I had to turn it off because I want to hear it in its completed state."
