Oscar Sets a Date—for 2013

Mark your calendars, Hollywood.
Because it's never too soon to prepare yourselves for the annual self-congratulations fest of the rich and famous (AKA awards season), the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has wasted no time in announcing a date for next year's 85th annual Oscars ceremony: Feb. 24, 2013. It will be held, as always, at the Kodak Theatre whatever it's called by then.

The nominations will be unveiled on Jan. 15.
