Marie Osmond may be the doing the living at the Hallmark Channel now.

The network that cares enough to send the very best is in talks with the singer about a "lifestyle-oriented program" to add to its fall schedule, which is still in the works, E! News confirmed Friday.

We bet Martha Stewart could have whipped together a schedule with papier mâché and a hot glue gun, but her homemaking services are off the table for now.

The Martha Stewart Show won two Daytime Emmys in its most recent incarnation on the Hallmark Channel, but the network pulled the plug on production earlier this month. Repeats will continue to air throughout the summer, but there are no new projects with Stewart in place.

At first, Hallmark was devoting as much as eight hours a day to programming produced by Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, but the block had since shrunk to five hours.

Marie and brother Donny Osmond have been starring in their own variety show at the Flamingo Las Vegas since 2008, and their contract as it stands is set to expire in October.

"We think [Marie] will be a fantastic addition to the channel and our lifestyle offerings," Hallmark said in a statement.
