Surprise, Surprise! Vienna Girardi and Kasey Kahl Call It Quits

Reports that the Bachelor Pad villains have indeed gone their separate ways prove to be true

So much for that second chance at finding love.

After weeks of rumors that Vienna Girardi and Kasey Kahl were on the rocks, especially following reports that they were living apart, those bickering Bachelor Pad 2 baddies have officially broken up.

Giardi dropped the bomb on—where else?—Twitter.

"@KaseyRKahl always be my best friend, but yes we have split," the 25-year-old marketing rep tweeted. "No idea what the future holds for us but we will always remain friends."

Kahl, a 27-year-old advertising executive and erstwhile contestant from season six of The Bachelorette, likewise confirmed the news on his Twitter feed.

"Yes vienna and I have split. It's been 5 weeks now. I can't fake it anymore. I will always love, be there for her, and wish her the best," he wrote.

Girardi's rep added that the the Florida native reached her decision to end their eight-month courtship after some deep soul searching.

"Vienna pulled the plug from her relationship with Kasey after a week from moving back home and dealing with a  death in a family," said the couple's publicist Richard Harlow.

Today's admission is a stark turnabout from last week in which Harlow denied rumors of a breakup to E! News, saying the duo was only in a temporary long-distance relationship while Girardi returned to Florida to be with her gravely ill grandfather and Kasey had a business that required him to be in Fresno, Calif.

Kahl himself denied the split as early as last week, telling E! News exclusively "We are def still together. Just have to do long distance right now. Damn rumors!"
