To hear her tell it, the woman accused of drunkenly driving her way into Sandra Bullock and Jesse James' vehicle in Massachusetts Friday night may not be guilty, but she sure is sorry.

Lucille P. Gatchell pleaded not guilty to two counts—driving under the influence and failure to stay in a marked lane—in Gloucester District Court Tuesday morning, stemming from last week's head-on collision with the stars' vehicle.

Gatchell remained silent and donned sunglasses for the duration of the brief arraignment, allowing her attorney to speak on her behalf.

"Miss Gatchell is very relieved that no one was injured in the accident," Benjamin Richard told reporters outside the courthouse. "She also wants to extend her gratitude to Ms. Bullock and Mr. James for the concern they showed to her at the time of the accident."

Gatchell was released without bail and ordered back to the courthouse on June 6, though not before a seemingly damning police report was entered into court.

Officer Kevin Mackey was first to respond to the smashup, which took place at 9:50 p.m. Friday, when Gatchell's Subaru Forester crossed the yellow line and collided with an SUV in which Bullock and James were riding.

In his incident report, Mackey said that Gatchell not only blew a 0.20 percent blood-alcohol level, more than twice the state legal limit, she also failed four field sobriety tests.

While Gatchell told Mackey at the time that she had consumed just "two glasses of wine" before getting behind the wheel, he noted that she appeared "dazed and confused."

"I immediately detected the strong odor of liquor from her person as she sat inside the damaged motor vehicle," he wrote. "Her eyes were blood shot and glassy. Her speech was extremely slurred as she spoke."

The day following the collision, which happened to be James' 39th birthday, Gatchell was told several times that she had hit the Miss Congeniality star, though each time the news was delivered, per Mackey, she reacted as if hearing it for the first time.

As it is, the couple is in town while Bullock films the romantic comedy The Proposal alongside Ryan Reynolds. Neither Bullock nor James was present in the courtroom for the arraignment.

No injuries resulted from the crash.
