Paris Hilton's got herself a new bestie—and her name's Mrs. Beryl Skidmore.

It was just a few weeks ago that Hilton announced her plans for Paris Hilton’s New Best Friend, a show created for British television featuring the notorious blond fun seeker searching for a U.K.-based BFF. “London, watch out—I’m coming to town and bringing my fast-paced life with me...I need a best friend who is hot, who can keep up with me and most of all, who is real and won’t be a backstabber,” Hilton told Britain’s ITV2.

But now, with a new commitment to a quieter existence, her plans have apparently changed. “I don't want to go to clubs now. I was caught up in a lifestyle that seemed fun at the time,” Hilton told English mag Heat, “but ultimately left me feeling very empty.”

With the scaled down-game plan, Soup Blog sources claim the heiress is in talks with 63-year-old British homemaker Skidmore for the role of the latest Hilton pal.

“Beryl is perfect for the new Paris,” revealed one British television executive. “She’s a grandmother whose idea of nightlife is warm milk during the 9 p.m. news. Marvelously dull, really.”

Skidmore is known in her small, boring village as an exceedingly “real” individual with no history of “backstabbing.” Though she is sometimes “hot,” she merely removes her sweater. The senior citizen spends most of her time in her cramped yet homey kitchen that smells of baked goods, where Hilton will reportedly be spending most of her time.
