Don't stop believin'...because apparently anything is possible.

Hours after former Real Housewives of D.C. hubby Tareq Salahi filed a missing-person report in fear that wife Michaele had been kidnapped, it turned out he had no reason to worry.

Well, not about her being in danger, anyway.

Michaele skipped town to be with Journey guitarist Neal Schon, her rep confirms to E! News.

A rep for the band had told TMZ that Michaele was in Memphis, where Journey is scheduled to perform with Foreigner, with Schon. The pair reportedly used to date.

She and Tareq have been married since 2003. The twice-divorced Schon married his current wife, Amber Kozan, in 2001. They have a 7-year-old daughter together.

Sheriff Daniel McEathron of Warren County, Va., stated earlier today that Tareq had contacted his department late last night, concerned that he had last heard from his wife six hours beforehand from an Oregon area code, when she was supposed to be back in Virginia by Wednesday.

A deputy contacted Michaele, who told him that she "was very sorry that the Sheriff's Office had to be involved, but she did not want to be home right now," according to McEathron, who also said that the deputy thought Michaele sounded calm.

"She seemed calm, was engaged in conversation, and assured the deputy that she had left the residence with a good friend and was where she wanted to be," the sheriff said. "Mrs. Salahi advised that she did not want Mr. Salahi to know where she was."

And now we apparently know why.
