Well, ready or not, it just might be coming our way.

Because while Regis Philbin is counting down the days until he signs off from Live With Regis and Kelly, he's far from set for retirement from showbiz completely, and in fact recently filmed a pilot for a reality show chronicling—what else?—the business of being Reeg.

We think we speak for everyone at E! (particularly our friends over on The Soup) when we say...go for it, Philbin. Though that's not all he may have up his sleeve...

"There are several things that interest me. You know those reality shows? I would love to do a real reality show where Regis goes out," he told USA Today, lapsing into his signature third-person referral. "I did a little pilot for somebody last week in L.A."

So what did they film? Regis and the Trumpster checking out a golf course? Him and Joy watching some Vegas-style crooners? Nah. Instead, cameras caught the 80-year-old workhorse visiting an eye doctor, where he sought treatment for floaters in his eyes.

Ah, the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.

"So they took the camera up, and when [the doctor] would leave the room, I'd say, 'This is ridiculous! Why can't they give me a pill or a shot to get rid of this?!' Then I went to do Craig Ferguson and whatever happened, happened."

As for a possible show title, well, Regis told the paper he had that covered, too: "This Week With Regis! You like that?"

Where's Gelman when you really need him? In any case, while the show is still in the pilot stage and Philbin is still fielding other offers—among them a sitcom—he won't be rushing back to work too soon.

"I'd like to take some time off. That's why I haven't made the decision yet."

His final day on Live is Nov. 18.
