As we've learned, there's always room for an additional sultry middle-aged homemaker on Desperate Housewives, and word around town is Wisteria Lane's been looking at All My Children's Susan Lucci as a possible resident.

The New York Post  reports that Lucci met up for lunch with the show's creator, Marc Cherry, to discuss a possible role for the actress after the abrupt cancellation of her soap.

Now let's just say, the news doesn't seem too far-fetched. Lucci definitely has the D.H. look down and can obviously stir up havoc in suburbia.

Alert the movers, because this story is...

So false!

An ABC rep tells E! News that there's "no truth" to this story.

Sure, the last AMC airs two days before the season premiere of Housewives, so what? And yes, Lucci might have had a rendezvous with Cherry—but for all we know, they were discussing how awesome their expensive food tastes.

Are you guys bummed? Do you think the show needs some luscious Lucci? Let us know in the comments!
