Have you ever played the "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" game? What's that, you ask? It's a trivia game that is, according to Wikipedia, "based on the concept of the small world phenomenon and rests on the assumption that any individual can be linked through his or her film roles to actor Kevin Bacon within six steps."

Bacon, you see, has appeared in so many random movie and TV projects over the last three decades that it is almost impossible not to be connected to him if you work in Hollywood (Kevin has a good sense of humor about it and even started a charity based on the idea www.SixDegrees.Org).

Because I have a ridiculous job in which I get paid to think about such things, I got to wondering who on the E! News team has the fewest degrees of separation from Bacon. I launched an intense investigation and, guess what, it is me! Sad news: My pal Catt Sadler came in last place, which I'm sure is crushing news to her. (Note that since many of us actually have interviewed Kevin, this connection was eliminated from the analysis).

Go ahead and try yourself to calculate the separation degrees for me and my E! colleagues. Let me know your findings in the comments below. And, if you want to turn this into a drinking game (I'm told, ah-hem, it has been done), please do so responsibly...
