Maybe you've heard the rumors: Sharon Osbourne has left The Talk, supposedly due to personality conflicts with equally opinionated cohosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini.
But is that really the reason behind her departure from the CBS chatfest?
Turns out it's not true.
There's just not enough Mama Osbourne to go around, what with hosting chores on America's Got Talent and The Talk.
Heck, even daughter Kelly has a hard time catching up with her. "Just went & met my mum @MrsSOsbourne 4 lunch! she works so hard between managing all of us, the talk, & AGT i have so much respect for her! I had 2 have lunch w/ her while she was in a fitting she has not 1 min 2 herself," the younger Osbourne tweeted earlier this week.
Now, Sharon is refuting rumors of tension on The Talk and insisting there's one reason for her hiatus.
Sharon tells AOL TV that she will be taking a time-out from The Talk to spend more time with her hard-rocking hubby.
"I've kept it no secret that I really miss my husband," Osbourne tells AOL TV. "He'll have been on tour for 18 months by the time it's over. I've spent a lot of time away from him. He gets a break at the end of September and so I've asked [the show] for a little break so I can be with him."
Luckily for us, the spunky Brit promises this break isn't permanent—unlike another original panelist, Marissa Jaret Winokur, who left the show in January because she didn't feel she had enough to do.
"I don't want to give [it] up. It's a great, great show," Sharon says. "We've all worked really hard over the last year. I'm not going to walk away from that. I just need some real good quality time to be with my hubby."
There's been no word on exactly how long she'll be MIA from the show.
As for the reports of issues between her and the rest of Team Talk?
Don't believe the hype, she says. "I'm very close to the women on the show. I didn't think that I would be [because] none of us knew each other going into it," Sharon adds.
Sounds reasonable enough, but do you buy it?
