Just as a leaked version of the new teaser trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man starring Andrew Garfield started to swing its way around the Internet, Sony Pictures Entertainment, the folks behind the highly anticipated flick, quickly cast a web over the footage and had it removed. Although, it is somewhat understandable seeing how the trailer will be making its official world debut at Comic-Con on Friday.
Mind you, as the above image that was captured prior to the pull-down clearly shows, the bootlegged sneak peek wasn't exactly of the highest quality, but still...
Anything is better than nothing, right?! So what did you miss?
Well, the blurry clip (via some shaky cellphone footage from a dark theater) did reveal a scene that indicates we're probably going to be getting a little more about our hero's parents than the previous Tobey Maguire-starring movies gave us.
It then went on to introduce the other main characters in Peter Parker's life like Aunt May (Sally Field), Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen), love interest Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) and Dr. Curt Conners (Rhys Ifans), although there was no glimpse of his alter ego The Lizard.
And last, but certainly not least, the sight of Spidey doing his thing as he leaps over rooftops and climbs up a few walls.
But don't fret, fanboys. If you can't make it to Comic-Con, a crisp, clean, studio-approved version of the trailer will reportedly be unveiled prior to some showings of this weekend's new release Captain America: The First Avenger as well.
