With its next spectacle-to-be Brave, Pixar ventures deep into the Scottish Highlands, but what is it about this new hero that's so different from the others?
She's a girl! (It's about time.)
Headstrong Scottish princess Merida, voiced by Boardwalk Empire's Kelly Macdonald, is Pixar's first female lead character, and from the looks of this trailer, she is, in fact quite brave.
She has no problem riding her horse at breakneck speed through dark, spooky Scottish forests filled with creepy noises and...bears. Angry bears.
Naturally, it all looks breathtaking in true Pixar fashion, but its June 2012 release date is just painfully far off!
