Hollywood Has-Been Gary Collins Racking Up Arrest Warrants Faster Than Randy Quaid

Former TV fixture may end up going back to jail after failing to turn up for a probation status hearing

Gary Collins is a wanted man...again. Too bad it's not Hollywood looking for him.

A month after Mississippi authorities put out an APB for the erstwhile Hour Magazine host for an alleged hit-and-run, a Los Angeles judge has now issued a $100,000 arrest warrant after Collins failed to appear for a Nov. 4 progress report hearing for his 2007 DUI case.

The hole Collins is digging just keeps getting deeper.

Maybe Gary just didn't want to answer questions about the mishap in ol' Miss, which happened a day earlier? After all, Collins is accused of misdemeanor hit-and-run after allegedly slamming his Jeep into vehicle carrying a family of three, causing a three-car pile up and then leaving the scene of the accident—supposedly with alcohol on his breath, according to the victims.

Either way, his absence in both cases could cost him his freedom.

The prosecutor in L.A. will now move to revoke his probation, which could lead to jail time back in California. That's too bad considering had he bothered to show up, the judge was expected to end his probation.

Collins' attorney could not be reached for comment.

The 72-year-old former Circus of the Stars ringmaster is no stranger to boozing and cruising, having been arrested on drunken driving chargesat least times since 2002, including the 2007 bust in L.A., which earned him four days in jail.

As for the Mississippi mess, Collins was served the warrant at his home and ordered to appear in court there on Dec. 9.

Here's hoping he gets his act together—and soon.
