Forget greed. For Michael Douglas, optimism is good.
"I feel stronger every day," the Oscar winner tells People on the heels of his recent eight-week treatment for throat cancer. "But it's a long road back."
And despite the health challenges he has faced, the 66-year-old actor is already prepping for his next big project…

Douglas is taking on the title role in Liberace, a biopic helmed by his Traffic director Steven Soderbergh, per the Hollywood Reporter.
"I've got a bunch of tapes of performances," he says. "I'm thinking; I'm a blank slate. Everything shows me he was a lovely man; I just want to reconfirm that."
The film isn't set to begin shooting until May or June, which gives Douglas some time to get a little musical training in before cameras start rolling.
Not to mention, time to continue his recovery and be with his family.
In fact, just over the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend, a healthier-looking Douglas joined Catherine Zeta-Jones and their kids for a fun-filled trip to Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando.
