So True? So False? Is Justin Timberlake Done With Music?!

The Social Network star is ramping up his acting career—does that mean he's saying goodbye to the pop scene?

We haven't heard much in the way of Justin Timberlake's musical output in the past few years.

Probably because he's been busy styling himself as more of a thespian these days—and an improving one at that—starring in Alpha Dogs, Southland Tales, um, The Love Guru and, most recently, The Social Network (there's that improvement we were talking about).

But now that he's on a roll, and he's put "Sexy Back" in his rearview mirror, have we heard the last of J.T.'s falsetto? Rumors of his self-imposed musical exile have been increasing with every IMDb entry, and it looks like this rumor is…

So false!

Sorry, Bieber, but there's room in this town for more than one musical Justin.

In fact, Timberlake even assured Ellen DeGeneres this week that while he knows he's been out of musical commission for a long time (too long, really), he has no plans to stay out for good.

"I sing every day," he said. "In the car. In the shower."

Which is fine and good for Jessica Biel, but what about the rest of us?

"Yeah, I hope so," he said when asked if he would put out another album someday. "I hope I'm not done.

"I find that, for some reason, I keep getting that question a lot, like I said, 'I'm never doing music again.' I hope not. I'm a male. And I lack the ability to do two things at the same time."

That's OK, we'll wait. Hopefully not too much longer.
