Hi Hon. It’s Mom. Again. Just checking in to see what’s been happening. I hoped you caught American Idol last night. It was the finale, you know. I guess David Cook won. I say, “I guess” because I missed the whole thing! Unbelievable. The bad news is that I had to take your father to the hospital last night. He had some kind of a pain in his chest during dinner—frozen chicken patties, salad and green beans—it seemed pretty bad and he wouldn’t stop wincing so I made him go. Well, anyway, it wasn’t anything serious, just something he ate at lunch. Your father, of course, wouldn’t tell me what he ate. I’m sure it was that barbecue truck again. You remember last month when I told you about that, oh, I can’t get into it again. So, I had to go sit in the waiting room while the doctors looked him over. Well, this was right during the last part of American Idol, I know, because the nurses were watching it on their TV. I could hear it, kind of because I was sitting as close to their TV as I could. One of the nurses was really nice and she asked me if I wanted to come back there and watch it with them since it was pretty slow in the ER that night. Lucky for me! Oh, I think that guy that you used to have a poster of up in your room was on the show last night, too. Well, just as soon as I’d settled in and the show came back on—talk about a lot of commercials!—in comes your father looking like the cat that ate the canary, you know. So, off we go back home again and, anyway, long story short, I missed the whole thing because we had to go get a prescription filled at the Rite-Aid and that took forever, of course. I really liked both of the Davids, but I guess I do like David Cook a little better, so I am glad that he won. Call me when you get a chance. Love ya lots.
