On Friday night, the Sundance parties were in full swing, as more and more celebs flocked to the fest. Maroon 5 is performing at MySpace Nights at Tao, and people are packing Main Street waiting to get in.

I made my way inside the crowded venue, where Paris Hilton was already partying and Mary-Kate Olsen was hanging with DJ Samantha Ronson after the premiere of her movie The Wackness.
        
As I headed toward the bar, the music suddenly stopped, and the lights went out. I figured Maroon 5 must be going on soon, but after a few minutes of darkness, it was obvious that they had lost power.

And it's not just Tao that was without juice...all of Main Street was pitch black. I bumped into Ian Ziering in the dark, who was taking a tequila shot.  Hey, if there's no electricity, at least there was alcohol!

Twenty minutes later, the lights came back on, to loud cheers from partygoers. Maroon 5 finally took the stage around 11:30, playing new hits from the latest album, as well as old favorites like "This Love."

After sticking around for a few songs, I made my way over to Stereo for the BPM magazine party. Apparently, Paris had the same idea, as she was just there. But it seemed something (or someone) was raining on her party parade. "She just left in tears," said my party pal. What gives, girlfriend?
        
Two friends left with Paris when she ran out, while sister Nicky stayed behind with boyfriend David Katzenberg to canoodle at a corner table.

Around 1:30 a.m., I decided to go check out 5W Public Relations' Escape Mansion after-hours bash. Then just as our group got into a shuttle, I saw Paris heading back into the BPM  party. Guess she got over whatever she was pouting about earlier.

After what felt like an hour of driving around the mountain looking for the 5W house, our driver was beyond lost, and I was beyond tired. I decided instead to save the after-hours partying for Saturday night. But my friend who did make it to 5W tells me Paris was making out with Simon Rex all night.

Now, I'm off to check out more swag suites, interview 50 Cent and do some more celeb spotting. Jessica Alba is scheduled to hit Kari Feinstein's Style Lounge today, and I just heard about a party where rumored couple Lindsay Lohan and Adrian Grenier are both expected tonight...stay tuned!
