E!EJ Johnson is opening up like never before!
In his new series EJNYC, the 24-year-old fashionista is taking to the streets of New York City with his equally stylish entourage by his side as he pursues his passions. Ahead of its debut, EJ exclusively chats with E! News about the show and promises fans a completely fresh perspective on his life.
"It's going to be a whole different feel—I lot of fashion, obviously a lot of glamour, but also we get deep," EJ says. "We get very real. I'm really excited that I get to finally let people into who I am and, you know, show my vulnerable side."
He also adds, "I just want the audience to really just grow with me and learn with me. I think this is very much a coming-of-age story of me just getting my feet wet. It's going to be a cool ride and I think we have a lot to share. I think it will be dope."
Along with the fashion, glamour and luxury, you should also prepare for whole lot of drama. Of course.
"There's this new group of friends who a very in your face and opinionated," he tells us. "My New York friends are more upfront about stuff and they never have a problem sharing their opinions. The whole attitude dynamic is completely different from all my friends in L.A. But it's all good fun, so I think everyone's really going to love it."
From the beginning of the premiere episode, the tension is already brewing between EJ and his little sister, Elisa Johnson, because they share a history with the same guy!
"We do start off the season having some disagreements over the boy she was currently dating," he explains. "Only in 2016 can a brother and sister have problems over the same man! That was like the first time it happened, so I think it's going to be really funny for everyone to see."
"But we love each other," EJ continues. "We love hard, we play hard and we fight hard. We're both very dominant, alpha beings and we always want to have the last word. Our fights can get pretty deep, but we always come back with love for one another."
EJ's family dynamic will also play out with his mom, Cookie Johnson, and his dad, basketball legend Magic Johnson!
"It's definitely more with me and my sister, but my mom will make cameos and there will be some cameos from my dad, so you'll have to watch and see!"
