It's safe to say Sheila E. made Prince proud tonight.

After an evening filled with musical tributes, it was Prince's former fiancée who helped end the show with one unforgettable performance.

Behind the drums, Sheila E immediately got the crowd on its feet as an entire band joined her in a medley of Prince hits. Featuring classic dance moves, sounds of the trumpet and plenty of energy, viewers immediately felt like they were experiencing a Prince-approved performance.

As audience members including Jamie Foxx sang along, Sheila proved that watching the show until the very end was worth it. In fact, after her performance, cameras zoomed in on Sheila as she held a purple guitar in her hand as tears began to fill her face.

"So much love tonight," she tweeted before the show. "#BETAwards #CelebrationOfPrince."

Ever since Prince's unexpected passing this past April, Sheila has been an advocate for the late singer. In addition, she has also continued to remember her close friend for all his contributions to the music community.

"I think the fans are doing what he would have wanted them to do, which is celebrate his music. Not mourn him, but celebrate and have parties," Sheila E shared with E! News shortly after Prince's death. "You don't realize how many lives he's touched and I don't think he really realized it."

Tori Kelly, Jennifer Hudson, Janelle Monáe and Stevie Wonder were just some of the stars who participated in musical tributes Sunday evening at the BET Awards.
