St. Patrick's Day may have came and gone, but that didn't stop Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise from spending their weekend with the Fighting Irish.

The mother-daughter duo enjoyed their Sunday night together in Brooklyn, where they got into the college basketball spirit during a championship game between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks at the Barclays Center.

Sporting a powder pink puff jacket with a matching layered pink t-shirt and collar, 9-year-old Suri kept all eyes on the NCAA tournament as Notre Dame narrowly achieved victory over the Texas team with just one point. Looks like mom Katie squeezed in a hint of shut eye amid all the frenzy. Following suit, her daughter later used her lap as a pillow to grab a quick snooze herself. v

We'd have to close our eyes not to notice how similar the actress and her only daughter look. Between the matching chestnut hair and identical bone structure, it seems the 37-year-old Touched With Fire star has successfully cloned herself.

Having raised her daughter in the city that never sleeps, Holmes revels in the normalcy that life in the Big Apple offers her and Suri.

"I'm a normal person and I do walk around," the New York City resident recently dished to Ocean Drive. "If you're having a bad day, you just take a walk, and it's not only that you see people who are having a worse day than you, it's just that you're in life. You suddenly can't be stuck in whatever problem you're in because you have to hail a cab or you have to get a subway ticket. There's more than just you and I think the harsh winters give you a little bit of character."

Among all the characters she's portrayed, her nine years of playing "mom" have had the most impact.

"[Motherhood] changes you completely in such amazing ways, and I think that you become who you were meant to be," she told the magazine. "Being a parent also is a source of inspiration to just work really hard. You want to set an example—and, you know, [your kids] are what drives you."
