Russell Wilson is ready to tackle a whole new game!
The quarterback, who helped the Seattle Seahawks take home the Super Bowl trophy, has proven to be quite the stud on the football field. But will he be able to host Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Sports Awards?
From the looks and sounds of things, we have a winner on our hands.
"I'm pumped! It's something new for me obviously but I'm really excited about it. It's such an honor," he told E! News before Thursday's show. "Last year, I got to see Michael Strahan [host]. He was phenomenal…He's kind of been a mentor through the whole thing."
It also may not hurt to know your beautiful girlfriend will be in attendance for the big show. That's right, Ciara will be his plus one for the unique evening.
"I have a good date. She's a 15 out of 10 as I always say," he explained. "Ciara will be there. She'll be at the show and she has a little spot on the show so it will be fun."
The annual awards show will kick off with an appearance from the U.S. Women's Soccer Team who just won the World Cup. Derek Jeter is also receiving a special award at the end of the show.
And as any Nickelodeon fan knows, there is going to be plenty of slime.
"I've always wanted to be slimed. When I was a little kid, I used to watch All That and all the different shows," Wilson admitted. "I'm the King of Slime and I get to slime some good people."
He added, "You never know when the slime is going to come at you so you better be ready."
The Kids' Choice Sports Awards airs Thursday night at 8 p.m. only on Nickelodeon.
