Naomi Watts stepped out with a new strawberry do while filming her upcoming flick Three Generations in New York City yesterday. But to those who are overjoyed to see Watts join team redhead, curb your excitement—it appears the auburn-hued tresses may just be a wig.
But with A-list starlets swapping hair shades faster than a Carrie Underwood wardrobe change, does it really matter? The buttery red shade is a refreshing look for the normally blond beauty. In fact, Naomi's fiery hair swap reminds us of another iconic redhead; her Birdman co-star Emma Stone.
Strawberry blond aside, Naomi's new do (or wig) features forehead-length bangs. The tousled look is just a hair too long to be a lob, and is practically the same length as her warm blond look from last month.
And let's just say the 46-year-old's hair transformation is the least dramatic on the Three Generations set, with Elle Fanning sporting a super-short, dark-red crop for her role as a transgender teenager. The 16-year-old is known for her own signature blond locks, but recently ditched the sweet color for a more serious chestnut shade.
Clearly, the gals of Three Generations have no fear when it comes to rocking new hairdos for their film.
