Former President George W. Bush took to Instagram to introduce the newest member of his family: an adorable puppy named Freddy. Sitting on Laura Bush's lap, Freddy already appears to have won over his owners' hearts.
"@laurawbush and I are thrilled to introduce the newest member of our family, Freddy Bush. We visited the @spcatexas' Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center last Tuesday to thank them for their great work – and came home with a puppy," the former president captioned the picture.
"We already love him, and even our cats Bob and Bernadette are finding Freddy's charm futile to resist. If you could use a little extra joy in your life, consider adopting a pet from an animal shelter or rescue group."
This will be the third puppy for the couple, who also were pet owners to Miss Beazley, a Scottish Terrier that passed away in 2014 from lymphoma, and Barney, another Scottish Terrier that passed away from the same disease in 2013. Barney rose to fame after he bit a member of the press corps, but made up for it by appearing in cute videos with Miss Beazley.
Enjoy the presidential treatment, Freddy!
